In Naubatpur, Masaurhi and Punpun blocks of Patna district, roughly half the population lives in poor conditions and a third belongs to Dalit and EBC communities. Musahar families here have long been without homestead land. This programme raises their household income and secures their entitlements.
Progress in 2024-25
- 20 Musahar women supported for goat rearing with ₹2,500 each.
- Kitchen garden training in all 40 self-help groups, with 625 members participating and seeds distributed to 400 women.
- Menstrual hygiene management training in 35 adolescent groups reaching 350 girls, plus leadership training for 45 leaders.
- School management committee training in 12 schools; 246 children enrolled in classes one to five, with 134 participants including 76 women.
- Block-level consultations on land and livelihood and on homestead land; homestead land applications submitted.
- Sanitation and enrolment drives, monthly SHG, village and adolescent group meetings, and observance of Women’s Day, MHM Day, 15 August and 26 January.
